Meet the Director

Barb Federer

"I retired from a career with the USDA after 22 years and knew I had more life in me and I wanted to help others. I prayed for guidance and asked for help to lead me in the right direction. Sitting in church, it came to me with a force of nature that I needed to step up and help at the Food Pantry. I grew up with my mother being the Trustee for Carpenter Township in Remington so I had a full understanding of the importance of helping those in need. When we came out of church I told my husband I think I need to pursue helping with the Food Pantry. His reaction was…. "Where did that come from??" I said God hit me with a brick during church and told me.

I took over the pantry in April of 2022. I have been blessed with so many new friends that come to the pantry for help along with the wonderful people that volunteer. These blessings are beyond anything I could imagine."
