Helping our neighbors through a rough patch

DONATE

No one in Remington or Wolcott should go hungry

The Remington Food Pantry is dedicated to providing food and support to families in need in the Remington-Wolcott, Indiana area, specifically those in the Tri-County school district.

The need is significant and growing. We are currently serving over 840 families each year, representing approximately 3,200 people. The Remington Food Pantry gets absolutely no government funding. This is local people helping local people.

As a privately-funded local organization, we are entirely dependent on donations for our revenue and strive to make these precious donations stretch as far as possible, while doing the most good possible.

Open Thursdays, 10-11:30 AM and 5:30-7:00 PM Eastern

Meals in a box

Remington Food Pantry provides two nutritionally balanced meals for each family, along with a box of essential supplies. Each meal is carefully prepared, with all the ingredients bagged together and ready to be cooked at home. From the spices to the recipe, everything is included. We also provide different preparation options, whether it's using a crockpot, stove top, or oven. These meals can feed 4-6 people at a very reasonable cost. The meals change monthly, allowing families a variety of meal options.

Self-serve essentials

In addition to the box of meals, food pantry patrons can choose from a few shelving racks of essential items like toiletries, household items, vitamins, snacks or other food items. To avoid dependency and manage our budget, only one item can be taken from each shelving unit.

A local, volunteer-run ministry

The Remington Food Pantry is operated by the Remington-Wolcott Ministerial Association whose mission is to show the love of Christ to area residents by providing financial, nutritional and life skill assistance to those in need.
